According to the guidelines of the circular economy, using recycled plastic for industrial production is today a mandatory choice in many cases.
Processing recycled plastic requires particularly effective filtering systems, so as to be able to obtain plastic that is once again clean, pure and of high quality.
To achieve this result, the frequency in replacing filters is essential. The means of replacement and the type of machine used for this activity impact not only on the quality, but also on the speed and the cost of the whole process: an automatic, high-performance screen changer can make the whole production sector more efficient and more sustainable.
The Emilia-based company BD Plast – Extrusion company is at the forefront in responding to the ever growing demand for innovative solutions for extrusion: founded in 1986, it has since then been a strategic supplier to important manufacturers of extrusion systems.
The company designs and makes in-house all the systems and components, in order to keep every aspect of the production process under control, thus offering the market unique and tailored solutions that can also respond to the most demanding requests.
Among BD Plast’s leading productswe find CleanChanger®, the self-cleaning filtering system which is now made with full insulation.
Clean Changer®, the new automatic and continuous self-cleaning hydraulic screen changer with three plates, was created in order to provide autonomous operation and minimise waste, enabling the reuse of 100% of the material.
The self-cleaning sequence of Clean Changer® is completely autonomous and managed by a PLC fitted with a touch-screenpanel. In addition, thanks to a cycle of high-efficiency cleaning of the screens, it can guarantee a further reduction in production costs.
The product, which can boast the totally automatic ejection of the breaker plates, is designed and tested for application on processes of granulation, compounding, recycling, blown and cast films, flat sheet, pipes, profiles, strand pelletizing, underwater pelletizing, hot melt coating, and master batching.
